I'd imagine this is the type of imagery and visceral experience that could manifest myth and religion.

Probably since it is impossible.

Interesting, guess I've been fooled then ๐Ÿ˜…

Though i will push back - the capacity for such experiences is still exists. I've definitely had quite cathartic, ecstatic experiences just sitting at a beach or the prime times of day X weather where you can see and feel crepuscular rays.

I am not saying that sublime transformative experiences don't exist. I am saying the OP is a big fat liar. There is enough cool stuff in heaven and and earth to hold us in awe for eternity without resorting to lies.

I am forever trying to figure out what we want technology to be. We can use it to expand our capabilities, or to replace them, or to tell ourselves lies. VR is a good thought experiment. Can it make us more human? Are 3 dimensions really a worse use of our time than 2?

Maybe we should all skip our phones into the sea and take in the crepuscular light instead.

Itโ€™s okay to live in the lie we choose to believe ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜œ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿป

I suppose you could get rainbows that overlap on tatooine.

I think it would take a very unusual multiple-star system to produce that particular result... ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง๐Ÿคฃ
