Ok so the government has collapsed, there’s utility disruptions and chaos. How are you going to pay for your starlink subscription? I have a feeling you’d be much more concerned about feeding yourself and your family than about bitcoin under those circumstances.
Government doesn't just dissolve because things get complicated. This is people all working toward a common cause. Government will continue to preserve itself as long as possible.
You should read Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash. It's a cyberpunk future where the Federal government still exists, just no one takes them seriously anymore. That's more likely the sort of future that we're heading towards.
