For non-fabric use these two I find the most durable on a wide range of surfaces

Pilot Permanent Marker 100

Sharpie PRO Permanent Marker

Paint pen - Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Marker

Paper writing / line art I like

Uni-ball Signo UM-151

Or Pentel EnerGel

πŸ™ your welcome, just my 2 cents on marking from years of manufacturing and having to write on metal, glass, plastics, wood, ceramic, masonry etc...

I'm just glad you didn't ask about fountain pens and ink, I'd need to move to yakkihone client to post long form replies..
