How do you add a chichi group on 0xchat?Everytime I search the group nothing appears.

I was able to add 3 groups last night. I believe I searched for them and I had to request to join them, even though I already did on chatchi.

I was able to join on desktop, I'll try once again with your method on 0xchat. Thank you ๐Ÿ’œ

Why does 0xchat use Google Play Services?

nostr:npub10td4yrp6cl9kmjp9x5yd7r8pm96a5j07lk5mtj2kw39qf8frpt8qm9x2wl - would love to start looking at 0xchat, but I will not load apps that rely on Google Play Services. Is it possible to remove that dependency, and allow those of us using #GrapheneOS (and other de-googled phones) to avoid the privacy risks and compromises that come with GPS?

Thanks!

It simply provides another download option via Google Play. But you can also download the APK for installation from Zapstore and GitHub.

Does the version on Zapstore not use GMS?

Well, I don't have Google Play Services installed, and it seems to run fine so far...

And thanks nostr:npub10td4yrp6cl9kmjp9x5yd7r8pm96a5j07lk5mtj2kw39qf8frpt8qm9x2wl - you also turned me on to #Amber to help broker private keys ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Itโ€™s not using any GMS API if I havenโ€™t missed any code. Even for FCM push notifications, itโ€™s using FOSS-FCM.

Ah...so it doesn't require GPS (and will run without it)...thanks.

Downloading the APK from GitHub via #Obtanium will work for me.
