the miscalculation they are making is that their actions have literally caused some of us, like you and like me, who have somehow managed to escape death, by our own survival instinct and intelligence, and when someone has made a mortal threat against you, you just can't forget that

it's a funny thing too... in my work, also, there is a sense of "this may not be big money in the short term but it matters in the long term", and i spend a lot of mental energy on trying to find ways to make that medium term adequate, that's why i rant so much about NIP-42!!!!

really, they just want to kill us, and this is the long winded, tricky mechanism they are using and in addition to the thing itself, they then twist it up to make it seem like there is some kind of debate about whether it's just a mechanism for genocide, with their shills selling this welfare scam as though it's protecting the weak, so everyone else better keep on stumping up more and more costs to fund this
