I don’t see anything wrong with mirror accounts. If you don’t like them just don’t follow. And if they still get into your feed, mute. More options for people who may want that is good in my book.

Mirroring is not the problem. The problem is that most of this accounts are scammers using familiar names
So? You can never stop that anyways what does that have to do with mirror content?
Call the accounts “ghost of (name)” or “(name) doppelgänger “ or something.
Just because someone is abusing that doesn’t mean we can’t or shouldn’t have it.
And that’s what people will do no matter what. Oh well.
What do you think is a good solution to this problem?
I think people should make whatever they want to make obvs, I just don't think it solves the 'lack of content' problem (as stated in the original post).
It could actually be useful, as discussion points or just sharing /reposting stuff of interest. I would probably follow some mirrors myself, like.
