always

On with a Killswitch

Kill switch is not that cool on an iPhone. But who uses an iPhone right? ๐Ÿ˜”

Not me. I'm not a fanboy๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

https://mullvad.net/en/check , pay with #Bitcoin

And if you want to pay for Mullvad VPN with lightning you can that here

vpn.sovereign.engineering

More and more services force me to pause it as they do not work behind VPN. Gonna need new services, or a VPN that doesnโ€™t get flagged as one

I usually keep it on unless I need to turn it off for a website to work. Keeping it on actually helps me avoid unnecessary shopping sprees ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

Always on. I have noticed more websites blocking access until you turn it off though. Bummer

for iOS, Private Relay, I leave it always on https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614

Yeah this one on as well

Does private relay only work when using safari or does it work for example for nostr too?

๐Ÿ‘€

?

I guess it depends on why you use it. For me It is a means to connect to my private network from my phone. It switched off automatically and I don't mind putting it back on. If you hide from your isp then you should keep it on I guess.

Def you should use vpn at least ! Relays can track your IP

Always on when home WiFI, not always when on the mobile move

use a router

Always on!

As soon as my current contract , I want to switch to Mullvad

Usually ON but it does not play well with Tailscale

My VPN runs on my router, it's always on.

I turn my mobile data off on my phone at home.

When I go out I turn my mobile data & phone VPN on.

I dig your hygiene.

It took a while to get there. It was hard to remember to turn the VPN on while mobile.

Running the VPN on the phone impacts phone performance & battery. When I notice it's on at home I switch it off & switch off mobile data at the same time. This avoids privacy leakage if my router drops out but also prompts me to turn on the VPN when mobile. It's actually surprising how much stuff still works with no data.

Running the VPN on the PFSense router is a game changer. It's a nice feeling knowing that your kid's are also covered without having them do anything. Certain devices (Chromecast & TV) are excluded from the VPN using firewall rules attached to their MAC address.

off when home, otherwise on
