I've been using nostrimg via Amethyst for the last few days and have had no complaints on my posts of images not being viewable. Imgur might be going downhill soon anyways?

From the article:

The phrasing of "old, unused, and inactive content that is not tied to a user account" as something to be removed endangers a good deal of content that doesn't have a home elsewhere.

Absolutely. That will destroy a lot of old content.
