Lots of good information in here. If you're a daily drive Linux, I highly recommend checking this out and making sure you know the in's and out's of your system.

Unlike MacOS and Windows, Linux does not inherently secure your entire system. There are many default applications and services that run that you may not need(such as CUPS) that should be shut down if you do not intend to use them.

I also recommend using this guide as a baseline for securing your Linux installs and to do more research on each section listed here to ensure you understand the full scope of what each item entails.
