Yeah, I think what this falls into is less about control and more about shifting environmental issues onto consumers as a whole. The carbon emissions from industrual manufacturing and billionaire private planes are too hard to go after, so lets just shift it onto people who cant lobby in opposition. I feel like thats the mentality. And its a similar mentality to recycling which has been an absolute failure. Its just not the first thing to go after in my opinion.
