I have found that I just need to take a break and ignore if someone says something so dumb that it upsets me. Happens rarely on here but it’s impossible to avoid with some subjects. You have to protect your energy at all times.
Discussions are 1000 times better on Nostr than other social media though and sometimes the argument phase is just a hashing out of meanings that’s necessary before arriving at common understanding.
I would like to see a Sphinx style Nostr app where you have to put up sats to participate in a conversation and a “moderator” or group of “moderators” can decided to not give the sats back if you aren’t participating in good faith. I was in the Orange Pill Pod group on there and lots of good convo’s took place in the beginning.
