In fact it would be much better for you to think of it in terms of its smallest unit: a satoshi

1 satoshi = 0.00000001 btc

Much easier to conceptualize and visualize.

So if you were to buy rn $100 worth of Bitcoin you would have 390k satoshis (=0.0039 BTC)
