Thanks for posting. So many carnivores on nostr posting about healthy benefits. They’re not wrong, but I appreciate the veg perspective. What we all have in common is Whole Foods. That is refreshing.

Thanks for the comment! I'm a bit of an oddball, but the goal for me is whole food plant-based. I believe humans can consume animal products without capitalizing on them and removing their livelihood in exchange for a dime.

It is interesting to note how many of us Nostriches seem to fall on either end of the spectrum.

Personally I grew up on a cattle ranch in the Midwest, and am surrounded by delusional diet affairs and ignorant opinions. This doesn't represent the people I reach on Nostr, but I think it's important we all share our own perspectives.

From my perspective, there is nothing better than plants.

I believe technology and cultural appreciation for food leads us toward advancements in culinary arts. Vegan meals are a display of what can be created without harming animals. It's important to never assume others are prepared to take on a vegan lifestyle. Meat has a significant role in our history.

I believe it is worth sacrificing our customs to study ecology in a rightful manner, and respecting the earth. If we can learn to harvest honey, cheese, and similar products, without creating a negative impact on the animals, then those products shouldn't be thrown aside and ignored either.

We can coexist with other life and we can be peaceful creatures if we choose.

Even meat can be harvested without killing, as all living things will inevitably pass away. Some too soon, sadly. We can capitalize on opportunity instead of forcing nature to bend to our will.
