Money growing on trees would be an infinitely better system than the disaster that is central banking. That colloquialism should have never been a pejorative.

I actually thought of leaves of some trees being replaced by paper money and having to wait each year to harvest them like you would with fruit among the work required to maintain everything. It was definitely more than some flippant surface level comment.
