Cool! can you share what you mean by carnivore diet? Are you following specific plan or guidance? And how is this different than paleo?
So in my case I'm eating mostly beef, with some pork, a bit of chicken, a bit of fish, and an avocado or two a week. I eat lots of smash burgers, usually beef, sometime pork at work with good sea salt, pepper, and sometimes cheese. I'm eating cheese by itself as well. I feel good on the cheese but I'm pretty sure I would lose weight faster without it.
I'm also not avoiding any spices currently.
Anyway I'm down about 10 lbs since I started, but also putting on muscle while maintaining about the same schedule.
I may go more paleo at some point. But I was at a point where I really needed a healing diet to break up the mitochondrial/ metabolic/insulin resistance dysfunction.
I have better energy, I'm sleeping much better my heart rate is lower and more regular, my breathing is back to normal for the first time since I had Covid, my low level depression is gone, my brain is working better, it's all the same thing and it's all getting better. And I don't have the all over achy stiffness like I did with general muscle inflammation.
Wow good for you! And thanks for sharing. I’m on an intermittent fasting kick right now and I’ve lost ~8 lbs in 3 weeks, but I still have too much carbs. I need to go deer hunting this fall…
