Nostr Web Client

The algorithms of legacy social are inverse: if someone hasn’t posted while they should get more visibility for the new post, not less. I can’t wait for the masses to migrate.

I was talking yesterday to one of my advisors for my start up, I was explaining nostr on a deeper level and we got to talking about how many of us, myself included, can see a future where legacy social creates nostr clients and had a thought.

They prob will but it won’t work long run. It’ll be a death knell. They will have to completely re-examine their business model in a way that I don’t think their stakeholders will be aligned with. Really the best thing they can hope for is integrating global sign in with nostr identity.

By the time they actually start to build a client, we won’t need them anymore. This makes about as much sense as the US dollar being backed by bitcoin: why would anyone use the dollar at that point when they could just cut to the chase and use bitcoin directly?

It would take someone like Elon, who doesn’t really be believe in money, to take twitter private and just do it for purely ideological reasons.

Better than that, the mere threat of it will give Elon leverage over the U.S. Federal Fucking Government! And that, is a big deal…! #Starship

Elon has destroyed what was left of the original value prop and magic of twitter. I’m not a fan.

Ow that nostr exists, it doesn’t really matter what Elon does. Eventually, everyone will be on nostr, just like how the widespread use of bitcoin is inevitable. Nostr is inevitable, too.
