Replying to Felix

nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe I read The Price of Tomorrow and really enjoyed it! Although there were some questions I had that weren't addressed in the book. (Also I'm on nostr by your recommendation!)

In an abundanct future, what do you imagine the labor market will look like? With technology cutting people out of the work force how will those people make money? Won't people who work less fall behind in developing their skills in competitive industries?

I'd love to hear anyone else's opinions as well!

I think the labour market will shrink as people and the fall in price of things will allow it to shrink without them turning to ever bigger government to “save” them.

The free market will always create value for those who find ways to make other lives better.

For the average unskilled worker today, do you see them doing something similar in the future but just having to work fewer hours to sustain themselves?

Yes - measured in Bitcoin….and not a light switch. A transition where each year they get more for less on a scale that continues into the future.
