Woke up this morning to two data breach notifications, an extortion threat, and a phishing email from a fake exchange. Let a guy have his coffee first, jeez.

Scammers should at least respect that, totally agree

Whoa

Best tool I discovered in a long time: email aliasing services like addy.io or simplelogin.io

Give out a unique email alias to every single site you sign up and if their data gets breaches you always know which one leaked because only they knew of that specific alias.

Also when you get spam mails you can just switch of that one alias and still keep your main inbox.

Agreed. One can also use the Gmail + trick if they are on Google/G-Suite services.

The + addressing works with more email hosts than just gmail. I have had the issue of not being able to reply from that specific alias and some sites not processing my support tickets for security reasons if they don't come from the exact email address with the plus

I’ve been using DuckDuckGo aliasing for almost a year now and i love it
