What I’ve seen was that they start with 4 and then finish with 3.5. I could imagine a few different ways of doing it to let 4 mostly guide.. but yeah
I also wonder if they’ve made it safer, since the Microsoft guys behind the sparks of AGI paper specifically said it got dumber the safer it was
