This is traditional style ice cream in Taiwan. It was actually invented in YiLan County which is south east of Taipei. It is affectionately called “Bah-bu” because back in the day the ice cream guy would ride along on a bicycle with a cooler box attached squeezing a horn which made the “bah-bu” sound. Today it is found all over Taiwan in night markets and is wrapped in a thin Taiwan style tortilla with peanut shavings and cilantro.
