After leaving home in 2008 I have kept in contact with my family but I seldomly involved myself in their lives. When shit hit the fan I was there to support, but I didn't believe in family all that much. There were times when I didn't see my brother for 3-4 years and just visited mum & dad once every other year.

Now that I'm closing in on 40, something seems to have a clicked. I keep on coming back to the idea that a solid family unit is one of the most powerful tools against states and their history forgery, shitty education and terrible monetary systems.
