Building around government is important, not asking for permission is important. So is wielding power. So is influencing those in power.
Despite the romantic fantasies of ancaps, there will always be a civil magistrate. This is an instituion put in place by Christ, the highest authority there is. And this institution won't leave you alone to live some idilic life in your secluded citadel by you simply ignoring that it is there.
Build the world you want to live in and accept that politics is an important part of that building.
