Should have said HIGH time preference... an industrial CNC is definitely not low time preference when its in my garage
I love engineering.
Last year I bought perhaps the most frivolous thing imaginable… a Tormach 1100MX CNC mill.
Lowest time preference purchase of my life. Look what worthless things I’ve carved from blocks of aluminum and steel.
Still gives me butterflies to spin the 3” face mill to 10,000 RPM
