Ahah JPEG's, those rare tiny blocks of conspiracy among images!

Yeah I agree, as explained in the links you provided (thank you Sir) it seems that JPEG wasn't really an image format popularized extensively in ancient cultures to preserve inscriptions. Although who knows they could be hiding somewhere on some ancient wooden cretan box encoded in object storage ;).

It does seem funny though, doesn't it? How unfounded rumors and irrelevent information outnumber factual events nowadays. Its Heropass really!

However at the end inaccurate or outlandish tales do keep us sci-fi enthusiasts outside the solar reaches of our carefully crafted bubbles.

Now let me find my lead underwear...
