I once halved my corn stack with my amazing trading skills. Then I borrowed on margin and almost got wiped out. Then I lost the rest of the corn.
That’s when I realized I should never trade 😂

Education comes at a price.
Wait… how did you lose the rest of the corn? Boating accident?
most people trading corn shouldn't trade
and this is why the good traders are so profitable
stacking is the way to go
I concur 👍
are there really good traders?
I always have the feeling that these are people who sell their story
best traders make money
mediocre traders sell courses
bad traders lose money
and everybody shills their ref links
The thing with trading is that you can have a great streak and be doing really good, and then you’re only one bad trade away from getting totally wiped out.i suspect the people who do Ok are those with incredible self control and a defined strategy.
disagree
if a single trade can wipe you out, you haven't set a stop loss nor done a proper R:R setup for the trade
+ you should never trade with your whole stack anyway
I have to admit i'm a scaredy-cat, so trading was never an option.
bought shares and they have fallen completely … I found this idea of owning a small share in a company really interesting
They become machines following specific gameplans. They understand where they possess an edge, and where they don’t. They are masters of risk management, they can hit more stops than targets and still turn in a profit. They need perfect emotional balance.
perfect emotional balance is something I would love to have
Me too. I’d go back to trading… 🤣
Ngl I miss it, and I miss the profits. But at the same time life is so much more peaceful without it
you essentially just have a checklist, which you constantly reiterate and improve on
if trading ever becomes exciting, you are irrational and overly invested
it's something i've heard time and time again
the best traders get bored, as they just follow the same step-by-step process time and time again
I see you changed your tune from shitcoin dickrider to humble pleb. Congratulations.
It's incomprehensible to people that the best trading strategy is just to buy bitcoin (regurarly) and do nothing else.
No trading, no shitcoins, no mining, no business investments... Just put it in a hardware wallet and wait.
incomprehensible
Yep. That is what you end up learning the hard way sometimes.
I guess it's because it's completely counter to the way the fiat world works, that we've all been brought up in.
Not having to dance to the fucking tune making sure you don't end up old and broke is the best thing about btc.
Way more time to focus on the important things in life.
It’s just too dang easy… like reading the instructions prior to assembly🤔… and where is the fun in that?🤣
Trading isn’t for me too. My strategy is like farmers do. Buy cheap, HODL, sell when needed or probably never. Stack sats when you can…..
Been there and have been on a slow stack back to where I was. I don’t think I’ll get there but stacking is the only eau
mining trading hodl - 3 DIFFERENT BEASTS
HODL - easiest / smartest
MINING - longest / skill
TRADING - toughest / luck
I feel you. I got almost completely wiped out last cycle. It's not that I wasn't making good trades. I was. The problem is that I will keep going and going until it's gone.
No more trading for this guy.
Yep same. Profits are sweet and then you lose them.
Trading has become increasingly difficult:
a) taxes (biggest reason not to short term trade)
b) AI now in the game
c) leverage temptation (if you're going to use leverage, run a covered call so you don't get rekt - never run naked)
HODL / DCA is a much better long-term strategy
Having said that, we've all been there--and we've all learned our lessons 😃
Words u can live by:
Never run naked….or with scissors🤔
I really doubt there is anyone who outperformed buying and hodling with active trading, in a sufficently long time frame.
