I would try Mastodon if it didn't require email.

My favourite thing about Nostr is the npub and nsec.

I just like how most privacy services and apps have an account there so its easy to get news updates. I doubt Proton or VPN companies will make Nostr accounts to post their updates anytime soon. That Mostr intergration thing is interesting.
