GM. It's a computer day and part of it will be continuing my education on Bitcoin and relays. Sometimes I feel SO LOST or I want to totally give up, especially when someone tries to scam me or I read posts from people annoyed with those of us who know close to nothing. BUT then I get *so much* kindness and help (and wow nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev gifted me a bunch of sats yesterday just for WANTING to learn) that it keeps me showing up for one more day, one more hour on the computer to learn. So here I am. Teach me ☕️

P.S. feel free to post some good sources of education for people like me 👇

Your on the right track of your listening to Bitcoin Audible.

Listen to episodes 1-9 of

https://whatismoneypodcast.com

A few good books are:

"The Bitcoin Standard" by Saifedean Ammous

"Why Buy Bitcoin" by Andy Edstrom

"Basic Economics" by Thomas Sowell

Not updated recently, but still a good starting point:

If you haven’t already, read the Bitcoin white paper:

https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/training/annual-national-training-seminar/2018/Emerging_Tech_Bitcoin_Crypto.pdf

It’s 11 pages and most of it is very understandable.

Why didn’t you just use https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

There is no PDF there because of a f**k wit who’s using the courts to claim to be Satoshi

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/09/19/cobra-cant-fight-700k-craig-wright-legal-fees-as-an-anon-uk-judge-rules-again/

Only difference in our links is mine doesn’t have gov bs attached to it

Apart from the U.S. gov hosting it, it is also stored on the blockchain itself. That’s where I reference it from.

Yes I know this but you should always link back to bitcoin.org

Give them mention, sure, but there’s nothing to link to.

The white paper was taken down 2 years ago.

https://coinmarketcap.com/academy/article/bitcoin-org-ordered-to-take-down-bitcoin-whitepaper-because-of-copyright-infringement

There sure is I’ve already provided a link.

Click on it

Yeah it works.

Lmfao

OK if you think so.

I guess your phishing!

You obviously can’t click a link

And neither can the rest of the world

What is wrong with you?

This:

Using a shitcoin browser

Pic from tor

Do you want to trade insults?

I’m very good at it?

Alternatively, you can acknowledge I’m correct and you are correct about using the Tor protocol.

Do you also want to explain why your making a moot point?

Don’t turn nostr into another shitty social media playground, there are plenty of those already!

Dude you’re spreading false information

When you need to find an edge case caveat to continue an argument, you loose your audience.

What you could have said is exactly what we both know, that the white paper is no longer on their website. It is, however available over Tor.

Tor, however is an entirely different protocol, which most people don’t run.

Try to not piss off people in order to nurse your hubris, your ego may win, but your fight or flight endorphins will cause you more suffering in the long run.

Dude I literally showed you over clear net & tor.

You are clearly spreading misinformation at this point.

Why?

What do stand to gain lying?

All these resources you all are sharing are great! Thank youuuuu so much for the zaps and cheers too! Today I've learned about nodes, miners, and peer-to-peer exchanges. It's all super interesting and I want in!

Any movies/docs I could download and watch on the subject while I'm traveling?

Nice mug!

Keep stacking sats and stacking knowledge!
