Women obtained the vote because the Western world realized it does not matter if you are a man or a women, or a land owner, to have good ideas.

It came with the enlightenment and individualist philosophy. Like ending slavery in the US, it was but a matter of time given the US Declaration of Independence and its basis of unalienable rights.
