What if the post-specific Zap button dropped a two-item menu… the first is a link to the author’s profile, where they can Zap the profile through Damus as usual. The second item is a link to the same post on a web-based client, effectively just launching the user to the link produced by the Share Note>Copy Link function (if not user-configurable).

Would keep users inside the walled garden as much as practical, but send them out of it to another service when they want to do something that Apple prohibits.
