I disagree with a few assumptions here lol.
'bitcoiners' 'being themselves' is just a bunch of people repeating posting habits from bitcointwitter because there is an environment that encourages this. This mechanism also discourages out-group involvement and especially retention. (Don't give me the slogans about nostr being for everyone lol)
I don't know why people here find this so difficult. Imagine you go to a platform like nostr in regards to privacy, but it is built by Solana people. They say Solana slogans A LOT, when the price of Solana changes they talk about that non stop, they have memes for that too, etc etc. How long would you stay on that? Would you even join it if you knew of the reputation?
And yes it is fine. It is also totally fine if nostr fails. This is what happened to farcaster, it has pretty much failed. It's all fine really and of no importance, I can agree to that lol. But perhaps deliberately replicating bitcointwitter has increased the chance of failure. That is what I'm suggesting:)
