No way, it’s definitely beatable. Key is to max out on oxen (20, I think) and make crazy time across the map. The oxen double as food if you get into trouble.
To be fair my last attempt was at like age 9. Maybe I need to retry.

Yeah they were silly to put it on the computers for grade schoolers, it’s actually a blast for teenagers and adults
