Why?
No glass. It's the only phone I had that never had any protection, dropped several times on concrete while biking or walking, never failed. Scratched, but not broken. Motorola still has this technology, but AFAIK they stopped making them after two successors.
It failed because it wasn't waterproof, but no phone was back then.
You mean it was some kind of plastic? What the hell. How can they know how to do this but refuse to? This is a miracle.
Something like 5 layers, all plastics. It's a crime they stopped making newer phones with this.
No idea if the bendable screens nowadays are shatterproof though, maybe there's similar technology in these?
