It seems like people did not listen to me about the issues with XMRig for Android 8 months ago, and if they had, we'd be in a different position today.

I still seem to be the only one I see around here recognizing how ridiculous it is to mine a CPU-bound cryptocurrency on systems with fans while not promoting widespread Android mining.

If XMRig isn't broken and there's some way to deal with the errors I kept getting, it sucks that Monero users haven't come together in an obvious place where I'm not banned (like the #asknostr and #monero hashtags) to see my questions, and give me answers on how to get XMRig working.

If I'd gotten that knowledge 8 months ago, I could be disseminating it today, instead of just having seemingly pointless arguments.

On the other hand, if XMRig for Android is broken, then Monero community devs should have seen that as urgent to fix as soon as issues were reported.

Now Monero is in an emergency, and I'm pressured to once again use my time and energy messing with poorly designed software because the community doesn't care enough about decentralization to put more effort into promoting widespread mining in the first place.

But at the same time, people are harassing me, gaslighting me, lying, and posting violent shit towards me (see attached screenshots for example). This neither helps fix the app if it's broken, nor helps recruit me to use the app if it isn't broken.

To be clear, I still don't know if the app is/was broken.

I just know if it was, people should have fixed it and told me and got fixed, and if it wasn't, people should have made information available somewhere I could find it to get the app working.
