Don’t forget that Steve Jobs was using their technology for the iPhone glass. Without Superfest the iPhone would have not been possible.
Till today you can find those glasses in bars and restaurants in the east.
TIL about "Superfest," a brand of nearly indestructible drinking glasses invented in Communist Germany. They were 15x stronger than standard glass, but production was shut down after the collapse of East Germany in favour of planned obsolence
