I researchedthe guy as soon as I saw it. His appeal was denied in 2023, he was found liable for roughly $106k in tax deficiencies and penalties. Taxes are theft yadda yadda but also don't lie to people and get them hemmed up.
Best advice around taxes is to do things that can't be taxed and SHUT YOUR MOUTH. Starve the beast, don't stand infront of it taunting saying "You can't eat me!" Because I assure you, it can.

It seems he committed fraud, which is different from not filing. But yeah that dude was fined too.
