Nostr - a censorship proof social network by, of and for the people where you own your profile and can take it anywhere you like.

There is no central authority or corporation or manager overseeing it. It's a network of free spirits interacting freely.

And you can go beyond "likes" by "zap"ing $ instantly to people (developers! artists! writers! etc.!) whose work you love to support.

(I use word "profile" since most newbies will grasp that.)
