The Dinajpur district administration in Bangladesh has banned all construction work on the land of the Kantajew Temple in Kaharol upazila. This decision comes 23 days after the construction of a multi-storey mosque began on the temple's land without permission. The construction of the mosque started on March 1, after newly elected Dinajpur-1 lawmaker Zakaria Zaka laid the foundation plaque. However, the construction was deemed illegal as it was being carried out on the Debattor land of the Kantajew Temple. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) has ordered the suspension of the work and has assured that a suitable place will be provided for the mosque's construction.
