I swear the first time I was ambushed into trying it while visiting our local Japanese school, I literally threw it up through my nose.

After moving to Tokyo and having a hardcore Japanese room-mate who had it everyday for breakfast (with white rice and kimchi), I took to it and now I always have some. I love it with a raw quail egg and kimchi.
