Nick Szabo says he “strongly recommends not upgrading to Core v30” and to instead run #Knots

He reached his conclusion through the same lens I did in the post below - #Bitcoin the protocol is extralegal; what you store and run on your hardware in a given State’s jurisdiction, is not. Nick has a law degree so understands the nuance better than most.

Core v30 is unnecessarily opening an attack vector for the State to impose upon noderunners.

IMO all 5 maintainers have to go. Their actions have proved they’re not capable of stewarding this software in the interests of noderunners.

Bitcoin will survive this, Core will not.

How are you legally protected from receiving the same data you're trying to filter, in blocks?

Plausible deniability.

Publishers, for example, are immune to legal action about CSAM so long as they make reasonable effort to filter it from their platforms.
