The rise of vibe-coding makes cloud-based development a lot more appealing. Kinda terrifying to have stuff like cursor or claude code running on my computer ...

Nah

Whats scary is adding to your laptop is Claude desktop and MCP and give it full root access

Yea i'm not doing that for sure

yea i think replit is nailing this

I wanna vibe code 😩

Any tips on best newb (not complete, but no dev) friendly entry point?

Download cursor, watch a video or two about it, and try to make something basic

That seemed to be the key thing from what little I could surmise. Thanks! Will check it out soon

One thing that’s very helpful is learning the basics of “git”. If you reach a working version of software, learn to save your progress with git.

Also try replit. It’s probably the most newb friendly …

Very useful tips. Thank you.

Oh how I wish I was good with git, but I swear there’s some type of curse that prevents me from ever getting comfortable with it 😢

Do replit. Iirc the kind of abstract this for you,

VIBES ON THE CLOUD BE LIKE

I would definitely advise people to double check anything cursor pushes for security purposes. One small “slip up” and you might forget to add secret files to a gitignore. Vibe coding requires at least some semblance to knowing what the heck you are doing.

You would think so, but Claude has been surprisingly responsible 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've been running goose for ... 👀 ... 12 months now 😂
