But originating from Texas? That's the bit I don't quite get with regards to Russia. If it was London then very likely Russians, a lot of Russian oligarchs are based there.

Then again, isn't Texas a red state? There's a red under every bed...

I read that the tweet originated from a Russian source and again they would be stupid to make it that obvious and maybe used Texas instead, one option

It was first reported by a news outlet which at first glance appears to be based in Lahore, India but on further investigation seems to be in Austin.
