5 steps to run your own #Bitcoin node ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ”ธ Pick the right hardware.

At minimum:

โžก๏ธ Raspberry Pi (4GB RAM) + external SSD (1TB)

Future-proof setup?

โžก๏ธ Mini PC (8GB RAM) + SSD (2TB)

๐Ÿ”ธ Download node client software.

Bitcoin Knots is a great option:

๐Ÿ”— https://github.com/bitcoinknots/bitcoin

Always download directly from the source.

Verify the digital signatures and developer PGP keys.

๐Ÿ”ธ Install and launch the software.

When prompted, choose where to store the blockchain.

Then start syncing with the Bitcoin network โ€” this may take a few days.

๐Ÿ”ธ Once fully synced, your node is live.

It now verifies blocks and relays transactions independently.

When connected to your wallet, youโ€™re no longer relying on someone elseโ€™s node for information.

๐Ÿ”ธ Thatโ€™s it!

Youโ€™ve just leveled up your Bitcoin setup:

โœ… Full transparency

โœ… Better privacy

โœ… More sovereignty

+1/ Want to go further?

Use something like Start9 to get more out of your device:

โ†’ Bitcoin + Lightning node

โ†’ Password manager

โ†’ Much more
