I wanted to ask nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 if the fact that XMPP failed and the guy who created REST being right about it doesn't also say Nostr will fail. I read the presentation on how XMPP was great because it removed polling, and that's what Nostr was supposed to do too, by using websockets instead of HTTP -- but from what I understand REST is just HTTP and heavy polling is very common on REST interfaces. So who is right?
