its common core math and is designed to make children failures in life. A chick I work with who apparently 'learned' this shit had absolutely no clue how to make change from a $100 a couple weeks ago. Can't really blame her since she clearly never was taught basic addition and subtraction, but it was quite literally the saddest thing I have ever witnessed.
