I am not very technical at all but why does it matter what you use if using cold card. Are we still open to attack even in that scenario

I wouldn’t worry much about this. Read about #[4]​ experience with over-engineering & over thinking his setup & you realize that doing what works for you is best. KISS methodology works. Just don’t give your wallet over to the wallet inspector.
