It’s days like this where I wonder if consumption of global news is good or bad. Speaking, feeling and discoursing on things we have no real context or understanding or control of in real time. When things evolve so fast you can only adapt conclusions if you’re on the ground.

i really think any news from a war zone is emotions and propoganda at best

True, but how else do you fund the recording, observation, etc of these events for later lessons learned?

No one is gonna learn anything. After all war is about killing and pillaging. Humans are exceptional animals who also kill for fun, it seems. We had many wars, each of them supposed to be the 'last one'.

I'd lean towards bad. Like you said, you have no context, so your thoughts about the event will either add to free floating anxiety or anchor to other strong views you hold.

The media are experts at tetris-ing beliefs onto their sheep to make them think a certain way. I've sworn off mainstream news and entertainment to avoid that.

Such a salient point. One wonders if it’s best to forge ahead, newsless, medialess, and focus on our sovereignty, unfettered by the angles and stories released by those who would manipulate us.

Over the decades I used to get concerned about these things. But my mother would say "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars."

This is the rest.

"but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains."

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."

This was my mother's way of saying don't take any shit..😆
