Looks like a bumper year for the noble fir. When we first moved here I thought they were garbage trees due to the softness of the wood. However, they seem to grow faster than any other fir and now I realize they can be a good resource.

In New Zealand we use Douglas-fir for fire wood a lot, I was going to ask what a Nobel fir was, but just found out that Douglas-fir isn't even a real for tree

We have Douglas here as well. I learned the noble as a balsa fir. Noble sounds much grander though.
