Off the top:

What will affect me is accepting there's nothing left to explore in this world, which is the mainstream/globe position.

Also accepting human authority as supreme in a materialistic context might also affect me: "We are tiny and insignificant to the universe." Boy were they mad when someone checked the (microwave?) background.

That's just two quick ideas how the narrative keeps you glued to the slavers leash.

Points taken.

However, Inner-Earth Theroy has more legs to stand on (no pun intended) as well as historical evidence -- moreso than flat-earth. This also leaves us MUCH to explore.
