Is there a reason why I dont get any sort of notification when someone mentions me directly in a note?

Install pokey, it will give you in depth, basically immediate notifications.

Pokey is cool. Still, I think #amethyst should at least give you the heads up, not necessarily as a pull notification but at least a regular in app notification thay you were mentioned by another user. There's a little bell that indicates when a reply to your post occurred, etc. When someone else mentions me, I get nothing. We'll see what Pokey does next time I'm mentioned. 🤷♂️

Yeah. I get that. But I am notifed within #Amethyst about other things like reactions, etc... there is an icon that looks like a bell 🔔 at the bottom of the app, and it indicates when these things occur. It gives no indication, however, when I am mentioned in a note.
In app notifications are different from android notifications. From what I can see it's only zap and DM for android notifications.
Right. I unfortunately lack the vocabulary to explain myself properly. I'm not actually talking about android notifications, but the in app notifications. Perhaps the word notification is wrong. In any case, #amethyst does not notify me, within the client or outside of it, when I am mentioned by another user.

This notification came up as a reply, but if you had made a new note and mentioned be like that, I wouldn't get any notification.
