CO2, and other greenhouse gasses, warm the planet via a log scale

Perhaps the bigger warming effect could be things like water vapour in a feedback cycle

1.5C since 1850 is relatively small compared to how much people that are concerned about the climate *think* we have warmed. e.g. 5-10C

Some worst case projections could be 4C by 2100. But may indeed be less.

Is it catastrophic? I dont think so. We have bigger problems such as the nuclear threat

Even a small scale nuclear war would cause enormous forest fires that would be impossible to put out. Causing huge amounts of soot in the atmosphere and potential 'nuclear winter'. At that point we'll want all the heat we can get.

It's moot anyway, as developing countries will industrialize and any offset to that will be small to negligable. Eventually we run out of fossil fuels anyway.

Thanks for joining the conversation and bringing in new thoughts! That's what I love in Nostr! 🤙

Nuclear threat is definitely a big problem, I'd prefer to tackle both problems and all the others we humans created! 😅

I agree with that. The exchange is the most valuable thing we have and the climate crisis is ultimately a task on a higher level.

I still have a slightly different point of view, but I think your input is good and broadens my view!
